Financial support is crucial to our programs and is the type of support we need most. However, there are many other ways you can help to sustain  MCUM's valuable programs.

Click here for a complete list of all the things you can do to support this important community organization. Feel free to post this list on a bulletin board at work or where you worship. There are so many ways to show that everyone should be able to  find an activity that works for them.  From simply staying aware and informed to organizing a drive for food, diapers or art supplies, the options are almost endless! Here are just a few examples:

Donate to the Emergency Food Pantry:

Non-perishable food is always needed for our Emergency Food Pantry.  When you are shopping for your family, take a moment to pick up a few extra items to benefit your neighbors in need. The pantry also welcomes donations of brown paper grocery sacks and travel-sized toiletries.

Save your Campbell's soup labels:

We  are able to redeem these labels for educational equipment! To find out what labels to save, check out this web site: Campbell's Labels for Education.

Clip your General Mills Box Tops for Education:

We are paid $.10 for each clipped box top!  Any General Mills package with the Box Tops Logo on it is eligible.  Just clip and save for MCUM.

Shop smart:

Name the Monroe County United Ministries Childcare Program as your school of choice to receive benefits from your Target charge card. 1% of your Target Visa or Target Card purchases will be donated to the school.  Call 1-800-316-6142 or go to www.target.com for more information. MCUM’s agency number is 111307.

Support Opportunity House:

Opportunity House is a non-profit resale shop, located on W. 11th Street,  that provides financial support to MCUM.  They are always in need of donated household goods and clothing.  For more information about this program of Church Women United, visit the Opportunity House website.

Donate your old cell phone:

We can turn your old cell phone into funds to support our programs - and keep the phones out of our landfills. Click here for more information about our cell phone collection program.
